Weekly Services @ 10:30am
Branlyn Community Centre, 238 Brantwood Park Road

Gateway Brantford is associated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance of Canada and a planted church of Gateway Church in Caledonia, ON. The congregation has grown from a few friends getting together for discussions to regular meetings in members’ homes to monthly services held at Branlyn Community Centre.

Meeting once a week for large church gatherings and once every second week for small church gatherings throughout Brantford and Paris, we journey together as a church family.

CAL STAFFORD

Bringing with him a Masters of Theological Studies degree and over a decade of experience as a Pastor at Stoney Creek Alliance Church and Paramount Alliance Church, Cal Stafford was officially welcomed as the interim Pastor of Gateway Brantford Church in August, 2008 and then as the Senior Pastor in June of 2010. Through Cal’s time, effort, and labour of love, he has played a huge role in developing Gateway Brantford Church from a few friends meeting for Bible study into the exciting, loving, growing church we experience now. His warm, heartfelt sermons every Sunday, peppered with “Now I don’t know about you, but in my life...”, and seemingly inexhaustible ability to genuinely love and care for those around him are only a part of what make him such an incredible Pastor, and more importantly, friend. When not “marrying or burying people”, playing frisbee with the youth, or watching a Sunday afternoon football game with “the guys”, he can be found at his home in Stoney Creek with his incredible wife, Sue, and their two dogs.

BEN HERBERT

From marriage, to moving to Brantford, to going back to school, my wife Lisa and I have been blessed by God within these past 2 years. Currently, I am attending Heritage Bible College & Seminary working towards completing a 4-year Bachelor of Religious Education Professional – Youth & Family degree and I am very excited to be a part of the team at Gateway. I look forward to the wonderful and exciting things that God has in store.

We are associated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance of Canada. For more information about what our denomination believes and is doing, read the Statement of Faith or visit the CMA website.

VISION

Gateway is a multiplication movement of authentic Jesus-followers, spiritual leaders and world-changing small and large churches. Our fundamental goal is to help people develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that truly makes a difference in who they are and the way they are able to live their lives.

MISSION

Gateway invites people to come as they are…and become authentic followers of Jesus.

As a part of Gateway Church, we share what is referred to as the DNA of Jesus. It has become our way of taking age old truths and putting them into a new and familiar language that we can all understand. Looking back at Jesus, there were some common threads woven into everything He did.

• He was always Delighting in His Father
• He deliberately developed Nurturing Relationships
• He was consistently Acting on a Mission

As we talk about Jesus’ DNA, it is our desire to help one another get to know Jesus better so that our DNA, what defines who we are, can be transformed to look like His.

LIVING OUT THE MISSION

Delighting in God : The GREATEST Commandment is to Love God

Love God with everything you have (Mark 12:29-30). This is time that you as an individual have alone with God. You are personally responsible for your relationship with God.

• Spend time daily in God’s Word
• Spend time daily with God in prayer
• Spend time daily with God in reflection
• Spend time daily enjoying the beauty, majesty and sovereignty of God

Nurturing Relationships: The GREAT Commandment is to Love Others

Love others as it is equally important (Mark 12:31). This is time that you as an individual build into the lives of those within your community; walking with each other through life’s journey and time where you use your spiritual gifts within your faith community to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

• Small Church Gatherings: Paris, Brantford, Alpha and Youth
• Ministry: Children’s Ministries, Youth Ministries, Worship & Production Teams
• Missionary Teams: Service projects, Mission’s Trips, Food Ministries, etc.

Acting on a Mission: The GREAT Commission is to Make Disciples

Build bridges (Matthew 28:19, 20). This is the time you as an individual spend with those outside your faith community; time with neighbours, co-workers, family members and friends. Time spent seeing and caring for the practical needs within your community (such as families, children, schools and teams). Time spent sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

VALUES

This works itself out in a wide variety of ways at Gateway, but as we journey together towards our goal, there are some common themes.

• Family: Supporting family is essential as it’s within the family that faith is most
  effectively shared.
• Multiplication: We want to see people transformed, but also become catalysts for
transformation in the lives of others.
• Unity: In our diversity, we need to work together towards a common goal.
• Creativity: We celebrate the variety of ways that God has equipped us to worship and
  serve Him.

RON WILCOCK

Ron has had the privilege of being a big part of the church since its very roots. His enthusiasm for the church makes him a very approachable and welcoming person. Having grown up in Brantford, where he currently resides with his wife, Diane, and five children, Ron is very excited to see Gateway Brantford develop into a loving and accepting place of worship and learning.

GREG WILLETT

Greg, also, has been a core part of Gateway Brantford from its very beginning. When not overseeing the Kitchener Fire Department fire department as Platoon Chief, Greg can usually be found at his home in Paris with his wife, Glenda, and two daughters. Greg's joy and humour make him an incredibly warm presence that Gateway Brantford feels blessed to have.

BRUCE DAVIES

Bruce is a great asset to Gateway Brantford for several reasons. He brings with him the knowledge and experience of being a church elder at Gateway Caledonia, Gateway Brantford's parent church, and his passion for Jesus is evidenced through years of elementary teaching at Central Baptist Academy and excitement for our church's growth.

BREN STACEY

Bren also comes to Gateway Brantford church bringing experience from Gateway Caledonia, previously as being involved in the original church plant in Caledonia and currently as the Director of Operations in Caledonia. Bren is an insightful and organized person who enjoys being an important part of Gateway Brantford and he resides in Caledonia with his wife, Betty Ann, and their six children.
